Name: Takuma Ichijou
Canon: Vampire Knight
Canon Point: When he fights his grandfather
Age: 18
History: Takuma Ichijou had been raised by his grandfather who has been the head of the Vampire Coucil for hundreds of years. His own parents are estranged for reasons that are unknown to the readers, but it can be assumed that they did not agree with the Ichijou family legacy. His mother runs an ikebana and his father is an actor. It isn't known whether or not Takuma has any contact with his parents at all.
From an early age, he had been close to the Kurans which are Pureblood royalty. Most Purebloods are seen as royalty, but the Kurans were at the top. He would often go over to their house and play with Kaname Kuran, the vampire prince. It had been the plan of Asato Ichijou (his grandfather) that Takuma become close friends with Kaname and gain secrets of the pureblood family so that he can manipulate them to bend to the Vampire Council's will.
After the King and Queen of vampires was killed, Kaname lived in the Ichijou house where Takuma and Kaname became even closer. Then, he learned a grave secret of Kaname secretly being the Ancestor (the very first vampire). He had to keep that secret locked away.
Jump to Cross Academy where he helped Kaname gather vampires to create the Night Class where vampires and humans could reside in the same area in peace. It was a wish of Kaname's mother that the headmaster (Kaien Cross) try to bring about peace between humans and vampires so that they could live together some day without quarrel.
He was the Vice-Dorm Head and helped keep things in order between the Night and the Day class. He became fast friends with his roommate Shiki Senri who is Kaname's cousin. Shiki was inseparable from Rima Touya, so Takuma became friends with her as well.
Takuma's grandfather wanted Takuma to betray Kaname, but he refused. Instead, Takuma's grandfather decided to manipulate the Purebloods against each other so that they would ultimately kill each other off.
In the end, Takuma ended up killing his grandfather before Kaname could because he felt that it was his responsibility and his duty as Kaname's trusted best friend.
Personality: Takuma is a vampire of whimsy. While most vampires have the demeanor of cool, dark, and mysterious, he breaks the stereotype by being energetic, excitable, and bright. His lineage is often questioned with "Are you even a vampire?" when he is being particularly bouncy. But in fact, he is apart of one of the most powerful aristocratic vampire families not only in status but ability.
His grandfather, Asato Ichijou, is a very powerful, intimidating, scary, and dark vampire. You would never imagine that they were grandparent and grandchild from the way Takuma acts.
Even though Takuma is higher in the societal food chain not only from being the next in line to inherit the Ichijou Corporation and the title of Vampire Council head but also from being the best and closest friend of the Vampire King, Kaname Kuran, he never throws his authority around. In fact, he doesn't come off as an authority at all. He's content in doing his duties as Vice-Dorm Head at Cross Academy which includes a lot of paperwork and meetings that are really Kaname's job. But nothing more than that.
That being said, money has never been an issue for him. (It's never been the issue of any vampire arisocrats for that matter) He enjoys very nice things of high quality. His favorite in particular is tea. He loves a good high quality tea with a delicious snack. He is well learned in the art of Japanese tea ceremony and even participates in the tea club on Cross Academy campus.
Takuma is possibly the only vampire that makes a conscious effort to spending time with the humans. While Headmaster Cross tries to encourage the vampire students to interact safely with the humans, most of the other vampires can't be bothered to deal with beings they feel are beneath them. But Takuma finds humans to be interesting to be around. He believes they should be protected and not treated like food and hopes to achieve Headmaster Cross's dream of one day finding peace.
His loyalty to his friends is constantly tested by his grandfather. He is able to stick to his guns and remain loyal to his best friend even if he is scolded. Even when Shiki's body is taken over by his own father, he sticks by Shiki and watches over him to make sure that his body isn't hurt. He is very passive in trying to keep Shiki safe while Rima literally shocks his father out of him.
He even kills his grandfather for hurting his friends before Kaname can. He buys Kaname more time to get where he is going by taking on this task for him. He almost dies in the process.
But even though he isn't opposed to fighting if it came down to it, he would rather not. He is a peacekeeper and a pacifist. Talking things out and trying to keep an atmosphere light are important to him and he feels that more can get accomplished rather than violence.
And in spite of being a vampire, he is not shown to have any sort of lapse in control of his blood lust. We don't see him feed from someone else except when he is forced to. He has no problems with just using the blood tablets created for the satiation of his thirst for blood.
On the more whimsical side, Takuma enjoys reading manga, dictionaries, and mystery books. He often drags Shiki around on random adventures around campus including Takuma putting him in a dress. He loves watching rakugo (which is a form of Japanese comedy) and makes Shiki watch with him. He has a whole collection of strange trinkets and objects said to be cursed for no real reason other than he just likes them. He even draws doujinshi in his spare time. With Kaname, he likes to tease Aidou and gossip about the other vampires.
Takuma is a strange, fun loving vampire that is also a steadfast and loyal friend even if he seems to be the flighty type.
Abilities: Takuma's special power as a B Class vampire is molecular destruction. He can break things down at a molecular level. He uses his katana as a catalyst to that. He can also wield a katana in the iedo style. He has general vampire abilities like strength, speed, senses. He's skilled at tea ceremony.

Why?: Even though Takuma has taken on a lot of responsibility in basically being the Vampire King's best friend and keeping a very large secret, he's not the type to want to be in charge. If he were ever in charge of something, it would be an adventure through a commercially made haunted house. But where it counts, he's far more a follower than a leader.
Cause Of Death: He died after the loss of a chunk of his heart instead of getting saved.

Power: Bonne Chance Roulette-- This power can give the wielding god any power at random. This can range from getting Glitter Skin to Super Strength. Once the power is used that day, it cannot be changed for a whole 24 hours. For example, a god is facing off an ayakashi and uses this power and they get the ability Jump Really Really High, they cannot change it to another random power. They are stuck with that power for the entire day and have to figure out how to utilize it to the best of their abilities. This power can be damning or useful. To effectively utilize this power, I will put a list of random powers (from silly to cool) into an RNG and pick the one that comes up.
